Black Stars next fixtures run well beyond the Gambia qualifier on 29 September 2026. A friendly against Morocco follows on 4 October, and the AFCON qualifying campaign resumes in November. Here is what the schedule looks like, with all times in GMT.

What are the Black Stars’ next fixtures?

Ghana’s next match is at home to The Gambia on 29 September at 16:00 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium. After that, the friendly against Morocco is listed for 4 October at 18:00 GMT. The venue has not yet been confirmed in our data, although the GFA’s squad announcement lists the game as being in Morocco.

When does the AFCON qualifying campaign resume?

Qualifying resumes in November with two games against Somalia. Ghana host on 11 November at 17:00 GMT, and the return is on 15 November at 17:00 GMT. Venues for both are not yet listed.

Then, in March 2027, the group finishes with two more dates. Ghana host Ivory Coast on 24 March at 17:00 GMT, and travel to The Gambia on 28 March at 16:00 GMT. Together with the opening game, that makes six group matches.

How does the Black Stars calendar fit together?

There are six dates to note between now and the end of March 2027. First comes the home qualifier against The Gambia on 29 September, and our Ghana v Gambia preview covers that game. Then the Morocco friendly follows on 4 October, five days later.

After the October window, the qualifiers pause until 11 November. Consequently, the squad has a break of about five weeks before the two Somalia games, which are four days apart. In addition, the final pair of group games in March 2027 are also four days apart, so squad depth will matter.
